Potato Farmers

Potatoes were introduced to Afghanistan in the context of the events leading up the first Anglo-Afghan war. According to Vigne, pages 173-4, the British Political Agent stationed in Ludiana, Claude Wade, sent the first batch to Nawab Jabar Khan in Kabul.
